Hell Raising Oliver Reed built his career on the twin towers of acting and alcohol. He was an acclaimed actor whose antics away from the silver screen often created headlines bigger than the movies he starred in. Oliver was the man who made film history through his naked wrestling scenes in 'Woman in Love', and chat show history by appearing on Aspel with a suspected jug of gin and orange blind drunk with the desire to sing 'Wild Thing.' Some times his drunken antics were sober publicity stunts, but his drinking binges with The Who's Keith Moon and Snooker legend Alex Higgins often resulted in fights, vandalism, and womanising. When Oliver Reed got drunk he got Really Drunk! Such sheer drunken debauchery could not last and while filming 'Gladiator' in Malta Oliver had a heart attack. He had been drinking in his favorite bar all day and it was in there that his heart finally gave way. He died as he'd lived; drunk.
