Brandy Cobbler

Winter is threading its cold icy talons across northern Europe as we speak. While those on the continent enjoy the joys of a relatively mild climate the inhabitants of Northern Europe of battening down the hatches, getting the log fires stoked and cracking out the hardcore spirits. No wonder we Northern Europeans drink so much over the festive period. It's the least we can do to cheer our selves up when Jack Frost is assaulting Mother Nature with all his force. So to help you keep the elements at bay and warm the soul here is a little brandy-based cocktail. I really am good to you people aren't I! Aren't I?

Ingredients:

2 shots of Brandy
2 shots of Carbonated Water
Crushed Ice
A slice of orange, a cherry, winter berries
A drinking straw not the sort associated with livestock farms
1 tsp. Icing Sugar
A glass or any other drinking vessel as long as it is suitably clean

Preparation:

Add the icing sugar to the carbonated water and stir till it is all dissolved. Add a few spoons of crushed ice. Now add the Brandy and stir the mixture well. Top with a cherry, an orange slice and selected winter berries. Drink with a straw before absentmindedly picking at the fruit.
